No Doubt ”Settle Down”

One of several 90s vintage bands that reunited this year and justified their reunions with at least one terrific single. “Settle Down” is a party tune that may lack some of the frenzy of No Doubt’s earliest singles, but the sass is still there – “I’m a rough n tough, nothin’s gonna knock this girl down, I’m hella-positive-for-real this time” – along with an easy-going, semi-exotic groove, and several stolen shopping carts full of singalong hooks. This is the most fun I’ve had with this band since 1996.
