The Monday Morning Awesome: Craig David “Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)” (2007)

20 years ago, I remember getting pissed off hearing Vanilla Ice on the radio because, for the first two or three seconds, “Ice Ice Baby” always had me fooled into thinking I was about to hear “Under Pressure”. Oh, the crushing disappointment! In 2007, Craig David fooled me into thinking I was about to hear David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” – only he took that song’s iconic intro and hook and gave the whole thing a glittery make-over that still drives me wild (in a good way) every time I hear it.
