  • American Idol Season 11 – Who Makes The Top 6 For Real This Time?

As I wrote last night, America must’ve been smokin’ that stuff last week when Jessica Sanchez was nearly eliminated before Jenny Lo and company decided to save her. But there is no save this time. Will America be smokin’ that stuff again?

Here’s my top and bottom 2 from last night:

    Top 2
    1. Skylar
    2. Joshua (edges out Phillip by a some chest hair)

    Bottom 2
    1. Elise
    2. Hollie

I fear that my droopy faced girl Elise is going to be eliminated tonight.

Here’s what I wrote on my Facebook page tonight in Elise’s honor:

Remember her when she was on fire!

The top 7 sing Dancing In The Street. I’m not sure I’ve seen skinnier jeans than the ones Colton is wearing. If he was dancing in the street in those, he’d get got. They’d have to cut the muskrat off his head too.

Ryno brings Joshua and Hollie to the center. Joshua is rightfully through to next week. Hollie is in the bottom three.

There’s been a Taylor Hicks sighting! He looks no older than 65 years old. He introduces Kris Allen, a most definite mistake-winner. Adam Lambert has more talent in his wig than Allen has. And Lambert doesn’t even wear a wig.

Allen is doing a pretty darn good Enrique Iglesias impersonation with this song.

Skylar and Elise are next to center stage. Elise might as well just walk to hang out with Hollie now. She basically said that she thinks she gets the harder critiques because the judges know she’s older and thinks she can take it. How about because you didn’t sing well last night? I know, I know. Elise is my girl. And yes, she’s in the bottom three.

At this point, I fear for Jessica Sanchez’s life because of last week. If the world was fair, Colton and his skinny jeans would be in the bottom three. He was third worst last night.

LMFAO is on stage for whatever reason. Barry Gordy must be proud.

Colton, Phillip, and Jessica are in the center. Jessica is safe! Phillip is safe! The muskrat is in the bottom three. Colton is probably going back to safeland soon. Nope, Elise is safe! My droopy dog. I don’t have to pour out some liquor for her tonight.

Holy cow! Colton has been eliminated. Hollie is the Teflon Don this year. Wow. I shouldn’t be surprised as I thought Colton was one of the worst three last night, but I just figured the teenie boppers would save him.

Goodbye Colton, see you on the flipside.

  • American Idol Season 11 – Who Makes The Top 7?

Last night was 80s night on American Idol and most of the contestants did well. The judges went out of their way to let the people know that Hollie wasn’t good. I compared her to a child pageant winner on Popblerd, so I didn’t really like her as much either.

Here were my top and bottom 2 from last night:

    Top 2
    1. Joshua
    2. Colton

    Bottom 2
    1. Hollie
    2. Phillip

The show starts with Ryno Seacrest introducing Jenny Lo’s new video. I don’t care for the song that much, but as you’d expect, she looks absolutely amazing in the video. And look at that daggone one-piece. Yikes.

Joshua is sick and says he may black out. Ryno brings Joshua and Jessica to the middle of the stage. Joshua is safe as is Jessica. They were gimmes.

Some UK group named The Wanted is on stage. What is this, X Factor? At least, they’re trying to bring boy bands back. I’m all for boy bands coming back.

Ryno continues to bring them up in their duet pairs from last night. It’s Colton and Skyler’s turn to come to the middle. Before telling anyone they are in the bottom two, Ryno brings up Hollie and DeAndre as well. Deandre is in the bottom three. Colton is safe. Hollie is in the bottom three and Skylar is safe. That means either Phillip or my girl Droopy Dog, I mean Elise is in the bottom three. I have a bad feeling for my girl.

Before we get to see who is the last person in the bottom three, we get a Kellie Pickler and her song, Where’s Tammy Wynette. I think she’s trying to look like a sexier version of Carrie. Too bad she doesn’t sound like Carrie.

My girl is in the bottom three. Ryno tells Hollie that she’s safe. It’s down to Deandre and Elise. Elise is safe and Deandre is up for elimination. I think Jenny Lo may try and talk the boys into keeping Deandre, but the fact of the matter is, he’s going to be there again soon. No male singer has won this show singing mostly in a light voice or a falsetto, and I don’t expect that to happen now.

Jenny Lo tried to save Deandre, but she was vetoed. Deandre is going home sweet home. I think that they would only save Joshua, Jessica, Skylar, Phillip, and Colton if they were voted to be eliminated. Elise and Hollie better sing their asses off.

  • American Idol Season 11 – Who Makes The Top 9?

Last night, the contestants performed songs from the Billy Joel songbook. I thought it was the best night of the finals and I recapped it for Popblerd.

Here’s how I had the top and bottom 3 last night:

    Top 3
    1. Jessica Sanchez
    2. Phillip Phillips
    3. Elise Testone

    Bottom 3
    1. DeAndre Brackensick
    2. Hollie Cavanagh
    3. Erika Van Pelt

Supposedly, my girl Haley Reinhart is performing live on the show. Does that mean Stefano is nearby?

The top 10 is singing For The Longest Time. There was a Casey Abrams sighting in the audience. And no, he didn’t pass out.

Ryno gets to it. He brings Hollie, Elise, and Skylar to the center. Hollie makes it to next week. Are we going to be thrown for a loop here? Skylar is safe and Elise is safe. I was about to open up a can of whoop ass on America if Elise was in the bottom three.

By the way, Casey Abrams is morphing into Kevin Smith. He just needs jean shorts.

Lana Del Ray is on stage. I didn’t see her infamous SNL performance. I’m unimpressed. She’s no Carly Rae Jepsen, that’s for sure. Because Del Ray is boring me to death, I’m posting the Carly Rae Jepsen video even if it has nothing to do with this show.

Joe Perry came out to wish Esteban Tyler a happy birthday. How nice.

Ryno brings out Deandre, Joshua, and Jessica. I have a bad feeling for Deandre. Jessica is safe. So is Joshua. My San Jose homeboy Deandre is in the bottom three.

Now it’s Haley time. She’s singing Free. It was every song she performed on American Idol last year. She’s still showing off those legs.

Ryno brings out the last four. Colton The Muskrat, Phillip, Erika, and Heejun are up and two of them are going to be in the bottom three. It has to be Erika and Heejun right? Heejun just cut his own throat. He said he’s not trying to become a star. He just wants to help the kids. If he doesn’t care that much about winning this show, I’m not sure people will care that much about voting for him. It really sounds like the pressure is getting to him.

Colton is safe. Erika is in the bottom three. Phillip is safe and Heejun is in the bottom three.

For the record, I thought Heejun’s performance was fun as hell.

Ryno sends Deandre back to the land of safety. Heejun is safe and Erika is going home sweet home.

I don’t think the judges will keep her, but she’s worthy. The problem is that she’ll just end up eliminated next week. She sang her ass off though trying to be saved by singing I Believe In You And Me.

The judges choose to not use the save. Goodbye Erika.
