Boston lead singer Brad Delp, whose high ranging vocals helped make the band a classic rock staple and defined arena rock in the 1970s, was found dead at his home Friday.
Police report that a 911 call was made from Delp’s New Hampshire home, but that the singer was found alone. Foul play is not suspected.
A family spokesperson announced that there would be a private funeral service for family and friends and a public memorial service at a later date. The family also said that donations can be made in Brad’s memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01710
